Because after years of obvious blatant abuse reported by multiple human rights groups Hamas finally fought back. The whole reason Hamas formed was abuse by the IDF. You had to have willfully ignored every last scrap of news coming from that region for the last 20 years to think Hamas wasn't justified in attacking Israel. You can't lie to us like in the 1950s and just make up whatever you want. This is the internet age. And like Gabe Newell said, never lie to the internet, because they will catch you, they will deconstruct your spin, and they will remember everything you say forever.

Killing innocent civilians randomly and brutally is not fighting back. Raping and Kidnapping people is not fighting back. Holding hundreds of people hostage is not fighting back. Receiving hundreds of million dollars foreign aid over the years to build up and sustain Palestinians was used to create underground tunnels and missiles was a complete misuse of aid. It is really sad what is happening to the Palestinians, stuck in between the IDF and Hamas. Palestine will not be the same and most likely not recover.

Those underground tunnels were built by the IDF. That's how they knew they were there, that's how they know their exact locations, that's how they had them mapped out already before attacking.

Funny that ethnic Palestinians who live in territory controlled by Israel have never been ethnically cleansed, or had any human rights abuses. Can’t say the same for Jews who live in Palestinian controlled territory though.

I take it you've never encountered any ethnic Palestinians living in Israel proper, for that is untrue. Unless no water and electricity in Jerusalem after dark is fine with you, as well as constantly being ID'd and frisked on the street for no reason other than religion?

I’ve never been to Israel, though at some point I intend to. Someone I know who went a few years ago said Israeli Jews are not allowed to travel in Palestinian controlled areas. As for Jerusalem, there are three sections to the city, one under Arab control. If they can’t keep their lights on, that’s on them.

Hamas did what they did because Netanyahu wanted them to. We were worn by Egypt the week before, and Israel knew a year before that this was going to happen. The IDF had the day off, the Iron Dome was turned off, and Netanyahu's phone was turned off on Oct 7th.
