Blocking a road w/o a permit should be a felony (kidnapping/ unlawful detainment). A federal offense if on an interstate highway.

All that should be left of the protesters blocking traffic is a greasy spot on the roadway

Compromise - grab them by their long hippy hair and fling them off the road and into the ditch.

Just make sure you have all your windows closed, turn your car around to make the exhaust of the car face the protesters, and rev that bitch until the protesters get out of the way, or just die of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. 👍

Not that I'm advocating running these people over, but I talked to a police officer friend who explained there's a "big difference" legally, between not being able to stop in time rather than stopping and then hitting the gas. I understood his meaning.
