Chapter 6: the honored one (Trigger warning near the end)

Eren: What a day
Eren thought as she woke up in the bed.
Eren: What a day…
She got out of bed and put on her usual white sweater, brushing her hair aside as her yellow eyes glowed. As she walked out, She could hear the sounds of fighting in the background.
Eren: Hey can you two keep it down? She yelled at Saike and Fox.
Saike: Sorry! We’re just testing stuff out!
Saike then continues to fight Fox, as he uses new abilities he’s never used before. He tries to hit Fox as bone spikes come straight out the ground, but Fox dodges and tries to land a punch, but one more bone spike hits him back. Fox jumps down and lands on his feet
Fox: Very nice.
Saike: Thanks…
Fox: Here’s a tip, next time slam your opponent to the ground and then use the spikes
Saike thinks about this and nods. Eren then walks off to Violet and X,
Eren: You two ready?
X: Do I have to come?
Eren: no but you might be useful if someone attacks.
X: Fair enough…
Eren: Ruby?
Ruby walks into the room and grabs the three by the back of their shirts. She then places them down at the location they needed to be.
Violet: Thanks Miss Ruby!
Ruby: no problem. Just yell my name and I’ll be right there.
And thus, Eren, Violet, and X are left alone at a maid cafe.
Eren: Of course he would be here…
As they all walked in, they expected to be greeted with Spark happily welcoming them and taking them to their seats but… nothing. Just dead silence of a cafe once filled with life.
X: Maybe he’s not here. let's go.
Eren: no I swore Persephone said he was…
Violet rang the bell at the desk waiting for an answer… and a knife was thrown at her head. However the handle only hits her a little bit.
Violet; ow…
They turn to the source of the knife and see him. The master tactician of the group. Spark.
Spark: …Eren? Vi?
Eren: Hey buddy.
Spark immediately runs towards them and hugs them. X is just watching them awkwardly…
X: …so… Why are you here?
Spark: Oh you see, I used to work here, and when I heard about the fact Ares was going to take over the world, I knew I had to protect this place.
X: But why? You could just protect your other friends
Spark: That's different. All of you guys have powers and stuff to protect yourself. Everyone here are just maids. I needed to make sure they’re safe. And sis gave me permission…

Spark suddenly pauses.
Spark: Where is sis…?
Eren looks down, not able to look him in the eye.
Eren: …she’s… away. She went to Olympus to spy on Ares. She’ll be back soon.
Spark: oh good! Then I can see her again when she comes back!
Eren and Violet just stare at him before smiling.
Eren: yeah. I’m sure you will.
Violet: Ruby! It’s time!
Ruby gets ready to teleport them back but is suddenly stabbed in the chest. Everyone turns behind her as Ruby steps back to heal. It was a man with a signature blood red sword and a very familiar laugh
???: CHIHEHEHAHAHAHAHH
Eren: What the hell?
Violet: Saike?
X: That backstabbing son of a-
Ruby: Oh no…
As the man steps out of the shadows, It was none other than Saike… but something was different. His hat was gone, his arm was pitch black and his eyes were bright red.
Saike?: Ah… there you are…”
He says as he wipes the blood off of his sword. And stares at the group with his piercing eyes.
Eren: What the hell are you doing?
Ruby: Eren! That's not our Saike!
Eren: What?
Ruby: Okay, so when I was working with Ares, he forced me to bring him back in time and ruin Saikes life, creating another timeline. So this is the Saike that-
Saike?: killed everyone, correct.
Ruby: …I was going to say broken but… Yeah.
Eren: Ruby, get everyone out of here.
Ruby: But I can’t teleport yet-
Eren: JUST GO!
She nods as she grabs Spark and Violet and signals X to follow them.
Saike: You know… You and Violet were the two people who ruined my life… And the worst part is that you treated me like a friend. What a f**king insult.
Eren just stared at this man. A Saike who killed everyone, huh? Let's see what that looks like. Eren rushes at Saike who spins around and tries to stab her with the kuroba. Eren jumps back and fires at him as Saike crashes into a building. Eren smirks as she looks at the rubble but…

Saike is gone
Eren: Where the hell is he? I can’t see him…
Eren gets a glance of him on a building before he disappears. Eren tries looking around unable to see where he could have been… but then she realizes. Saike’s not heading for Eren… he’s heading for-
Eren: VIOLET!
The second she turns around, Saike appears behind her.
Saike?: Focus on your own battle…
Saike stabs the kuroba right into Erens neck. Eren just stares at the kuroba. A cold black blade… just like- Eren couldn’t finish her thought as Saike stabs her in the chest repeatedly and slides the blade down her leg, Eren tries to shoot him but Saike dodges, and then trips her and stabbing her into the ground one last time as the ground breaks below them.
Saike: …I think I’m starting to get the hang of this…
He says pulling the blackened blade from her throat and kicks the body away. The color in her eyes fades as she takes her final breath…
Meanwhile, Ruby, Violet, X, and Spark run off into the distance as they make it to the cave that leads to the underworld…
Ruby: I think we’re safe. Eren probably took care of him already.
Outside the cave, a small dog was waiting
Violet: Confetti!
Confetti: arf!
Confetti runs up to his owner and waits for head pats, which Violet provides. It then runs up to Spark and jumps into his arms
Spark: aw… he remembers me!
X: Alright, you two have your bonding moment. I’m gonna tell everyone what happened.
X walks into the cave to report the news.
As Spark and Violet continue to pet the dog… Ruby noticed something in the distance.
Ruby: EVERYONE GET DOWN!
A black shard of blood heads straight towards Violets Head… but one brave little warrior wasn’t going to let that happen. Confetti didn’t know much but he knew one thing. Save. Lady. Violet. The tiny hero jumped in the way of the shard as it impaled his chest. Falling to the ground, letting one last bark before…

Violet: NO! NOT AGAIN! I DON’T WANT TO LOSE ANYONE ELSE!
Violet runs up to the body as Saike steps out of the shadows.
Broken Saike: Huh… I was aiming for the demon but I guess this works. She’s just as devastated.
Violet: …Spark… head inside…
Spark: …on it. Let's go Miss Ruby.
Ruby nods as they run inside.
Broken Saike: You know… in my timeline, you were my most satisfying kill. And I’m about to live it all over again
Violet grabs her katana and points it at him.
Violet: I lost my husband… my dog is dead… I have nothing else to lose…
Broken Saike: CHIHEHEHAHAHA BRING IT ON!
He yells out as his blackened arm transforms into a sword simular to the 死んだ刃. Violet gets ready to fight once again.
Somewhere… Eren wakes up. It’s cold… dark… Maybe if she submits she can see Matt again… no that won’t work… Matt’s still alive after all… Eren gets ready to close her eyes again until…
???: what do you want?
Eren turns around to see a yellow haired woman with a fox mask.
Eren: who are-
???: What is your true desire…?
Eren: I… I want to save Matt…
???: then maybe you should try harder… I will allow you one more chance at life, but only if you promise me one thing. Fulfill that desire no matter what.
Eren: …okay… mom.
The woman takes off her mask to reveal she was actually the late Laura. The mother of Eren. As the two shake hands, Eren wakes up back where she died. She rubbed her neck and realized the stab wound wasn’t there. In fact, her body seemed to be completely healed… No time to worry about that. Eren got up and ran to the underworld.

Broken Saike: My god you’re weaker than the one I killed!
Saike kicked Violet into the ground and got ready to head into the underworld. The minute he gets in, it’s all over. Until…
Eren: yo! Long time no see!
Broken Saike: hm?
He turns around to see the woman he just killed an hour ago standing once again, alive and well.
Broken Saike: …oh course! You can heal yourself. How did I forget?
Eren: Exactly! The only reason was because you didn’t cut off my head! That's not all! I’ve finally figured it out! I finally found out why I was so weak! There was more! More power in my awakening I couldn’t tap into until now!
Broken Saike: (in mind) I knew she had a few screws loose but… is she… high?
Eren: It’s finally here! My true awakening!
Broken Saike: Oh really?
He takes out the Kuroba and the 死んだ刃.
Broken Saike: It seems our fight has just begun
Eren was casually looking up at the sky.
Eren: Huh? Is it? Yeah… Maybe so!
This was enough for Saike to run in and try to slash, but she dodges and puts a piece of bark on his hood and jumps back.
Eren: Heal.
The piece of bark reacts as Saike gets pulled into a tree and slammed onto the trunk. Broken Saike looks up and sees Eren ascending. She doesn’t even seem to be paying attention to the fight anymore. Saikes eyes turn white as he stares at the floating Eren
Broken Saike: …somethings off… Somethings wrong…
But he grips his black arm and smiles, the red gleam in his eyes returning
Broken Saike: No this is perfect! I’LL KILL YOU!
His black arm stretches into a giant sword as he slashes all the trees in the area… but it just simply goes over Eren… barely missing…
Eren: …Sorry Matt… I’m not even mad at your death. For once in these years… I’m content. But don’t worry… I’ll get you back.
Eren then strikes a pose and looks down on broken Saike
Eren: Throughout the heavens and the earth, I alone am the honored one.

Saike slashes again as the blade is about to hit her neck but… everything stops. A simple hand movement from Eren is all she needs.
Eren: You just let go. Let go of your past, your trauma, and everything… and follow the light…
Maximum output. Guiding light.
Eren fires a yellow beam that shines a bright light even everyone from Olympus can see. Saike watches as the black arm he used is split in half and straight towards… Eren floats back down and looks at the broken Saike. A huge hole in his torso.
Broken Saike: …so I guess that's it, huh? But don’t worry… I’ll be back.
He grabs the remains of his black arm and opens a portal to Olympus before turning around and smiling.
Broken Saike: maybe you should check your friends…
And with that, Broken Saike leaves. Eren is confused on what he means by checking her friends. She rushes down to the underworld so see.
Eren: Is everyone o..kay…?
Violet is crying at a table with a shoebox labeled “Confetti” Next to her. Spark is also crying however for a different reason. He looks up at Eren and runs up to her
Spark: I-I’m so sorry… I know you loved her…
Eren: what?
Spark runs off crying again as she looks at the table with Fox, Saike, Ruby, X, Hades, and Persephone.
Eren: What happened here?
Fox: …this.
On the table are multiple pictures of Mercury being violently harassed, being undressed, and beaten. Tears streaming down her face are visible. Eren wasn’t there to witness it but she can hear the sounds of pain just from looking at them… the final image is Mercury dead on the ground, completely violated, completely broken… Eren drops the photos and punches a wall in anger
Eren: I don’t care if Matt is still in there… I don’t care if everyone dies… I don’t care anymore… I will kill him.
