Chapter 2: regrets

Eren made her way to the airport, she was finally able to get through the guards. As she sat down at one of the chairs, she sighs in relief.
Eren: finally... Nice a quiet.
She took out her phone and looked at the news.
Eren: ANOTHER GOD? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
She took a good long look at the image on her phone. It was Ares talking to some woman.
Eren: so now there's way more gods than I have to deal with. I wonder if dads helping Hades...
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the airport announcement
Announcement: Eren Smith, please pick up the phone, Eren Smith, please pick up the phone.
Eren was confused, why would an announcement be directed towards her, unless it's some god trying to manipulate her, it could be a huge risk, but curiosity got the better of her and she went up to the payphone and put it next to her ear.
Eren: hello?
Fox: hey kid

Eren: DAD?!
fox: shush! Not to loud! The Olympians might here you, and Hades is in a really bad mood today
Hades: *in background* 9 THOUSAND 9 HUNDRED AND 48 SOULS! IN ONE DAY!
Persephone: dear be quiet, fox is on the phone.
Fox: anyways, heard you're going to Japan?
Eren: yeah, have to meet Violet.
Fox: ah, the demon. She's good to have on your team, she might be even as strong as ma-
Eren: don't. Don't say that name.
Fox fell silent. He tried to think of the right words to say to her daughter.
Fox: listen, I'm sorry for your loss. I really am, but the best you could do now is make him proud by getting the crew back together.
Eren: *trying to hold back tears* thanks dad... I'll call you soon
Fox: I'll be counting on it.
They both hang up at the same time.
Hades: so... Who was that?
Fox: just a business call.
Hades: Maxwell, you work here.
Fox: to, they told us more souls are coming.
He glared at Persephone, who knew the truth.
Fox: *whispering* you wouldn't
Persephone: *whispering back* I wouldn't want to make Hades more mad

Later, Eren is about to board the plane, but two guards stop her
Guards: HALT! BY ARES RULE YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
Eren: um... Yeah excuse me officer but I really need to board this plane...
She tries to squeeze through but the guards kick her away. Eren gets ready to fight by getting her energy guns out.
Eren: listen buster, I'll gladly send more souls down to the underworld if you won't move.
The guards snap their finger as 10 thousand more get ready to fight.
Eren: *turns to airport attendant* you don't mind if I fight here, do you?
Airport attendant: ma'am I just work here.
Eren: okay good.
And they're off! Eren quickly outpaces them, but the guards are too durable for her to do damage, she quickly rushed through the halls, trying to get them to hit each other, but they're smarter than the ones Erens faced before.
Eren: shit... How do I drop these guys.
She creates a ball around herself to protect her from damage as she thinks, the guards attack her defenses as it starts to crack
Eren: no no no no...
But then... Right when the energy ball cracks, she's... On the airplane?

Meanwhile, Fox and Persephone are confused
Fox: what happened, what did she do?
Persephone: I'm not sure, it's like a jump through timelines.
She zooms into the place Eren was at seconds ago
Fox: it's like it never happened... Do you know any gods that can do that?
Persephone: not from here... It appears there's someone helping her.
Fox: ...other than us, right?
Persephone: look I only observe, I can't control the outcome, let alone timelines.
Fox: then who...
Back at the plane
Eren: ...did that? Whatever, I'm in Japan now.
As the plane lands, Eren expects guards to be there, but no. Just a normal airport.
Eren: hm... So I'm not on their radar? What the hell is going on?
She brushes off the thought and runs outside, expecting to see violet waiting, but no. No one's there. Even here, she's alone. But then one citizen yells out
Citizen: DEMON! I JUST SAW A DEMON!!
Eren: sir? Where did you see it? I'll take care of it for you.

Citizen: that way!
He points at the direction from where he came from.
Eren: stay calm, everything will be okay.
And thus, she was off yet again. When she gets there, she sees a familiar jacket being help by a familiar face
Violet: Matt? There's an intruder... Should I take care of them?
Eren: what? Violet, it's me...
Violet: she's resisting.
Violet gets up, revealing one of her eyes to be a dark purple color. She tightly holds the jacket of the man she loved as she gets her katana out
Violet: leave us alone, intruder.
Eren: wha- Violet it's me! Eren! I'm here to bring back the team! We could even defeat ares-
The mention of the man who took everything sends Violet into a berserk rage. She dashes at Eren with intent to kill, while Eren tries to block her attacks.
Eren: calm down violet! I miss him too but this isn't the way to deal with it.
Violet: GET OUT!
from this yell, she turns into her full demon form.
Eren: oh crap.
And so they clash, Violet slashing again and again, which is unusual for her. Eren tries her best not to harm her too much, but this gives the demon an opening. She slashes at Eren, cutting her sweater on the process. Eren falls down. And thinks of something
Eren: if I pretend I'm dead, maybe I will get a chance to calm her down...

Violet walks up to Eren lying down
Violet: Matt, I've tooken down the intruder for you, are you happy?
Silence, as violet seems happy.
Violet: execute them? Cut off their head?
She takes out her katana and gets ready to decapitate Eren. A demonic aura emitting from her
Violet: WITH PLEASURE!
but... Before she could do anything, a portal opens. And out steps and a man with a crystalized blood sword and strange hat
???: hm... So that's what happened to you, Violet.
