I am fully capable of understanding memes and shitposts from a member of any generation. But then someone says the words 'skibidi rizz' and I get to spen three hours searching for a straight answer on Reddit for the quntilliointh time this month.

I am one year off from being Gen Alpha. I am fully capable of understanding memes, shitposts, and other tomfoolery created by any generation. But if you use the words 'skibidi' or 'rizz' for example in the same sentence, I am entirely lost.

Dude, being Gen Alpha would be a nightmare. I'd be the cringiest human on earth... probably even moreso with my hyperfixation on lore and learning everything's lore. Apply that to skibidi toilet (I reFUSE to give Gen Alpha kids the satisfaction of me capitalizing that and implying that it's a halfway decent webshow, when it is neither decent nor a 'true' webshow), and it becomes a frenzied free-for-all in the skies.

You could say that, but skibidi toilet has been so cringed to hell and back so many times that any meaning it originally had is now gone, and with it at least one sixteenth of the total viewers (the loss of which has been swiftly made up for by Gen Alpha kids below the age of ten).

Tbh as much as I like to trash on Gen Alpha like anyone, it's not really THEIR fault. We all went through our generation's respective cringy brain rot (although it's hard to deny theirs is worse), but they are still kids, plus, it's mostly the fault of Gen Z parents who couldn't care less about their kids, and stick them in front of a screen from age 2. I gotta say, we who grew up in the late 2000's and early to mid 2010's had great childhoods! Adventure Time, Regular Show, TAWOG, Wild Crats, Arthur, Bubble Guppies, DanTDM, Stampylonghead, Minecraft, Fortnite, and Roblox in their primes (I could go on) really had it made. In terms of actually GOOD nostalgic material Gen Alpha has, they have Bluey (Which I seriously wish I grew up on) and that's it!

Eh, Bluey is debatable, but everything else is accurate. Of course, I don't have much actual say in these matters because I'm a child of 2009. As for specifics I grew up on the original Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, the Wii Bar version of Skyward Sword, Halo: MCC, Minecraft, Subnautica, Fortnite (in its prime, like you said), DisneyXD, one or two Disney Channel shows, and a few others like Star Wars. I often find myself cringing at my own actions years after the fact and wish I could go back to fix it. I'm socially awkward, barely capable of holding intelligent conversation about topics other than video games and other nerd stuff, and I may be depressed. Besides what I mentioned, I also witnessed the rise and fall of Roblox, Minecraft and Fortnite and I'm ashamed to see where Fortnite and Roblox in particular have gone in the last few years.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is you're right, it's not their fault, it's ours (as in those 'lazy Gen Z' parents you mentioned).

Postscript: I didn't expect to have a conversation about this on imgflip, a meme making and sharing website that's essentially Reddit stripped down to its basic principals: memes and dumb crap.
