First off, in the U.S. it's illegal to block the road, especially in an unlawful assembly. Secondly, their "protest" attempts are not at all trying to convince anyone of using less oil, they're just trying to wreak havoc and anarchy.

There's no such thing as an unlawful assembly. Only individuals committing crimes.
