Instead of the government subsidies towards corporate slugs that have tones of money, make free cars that can't operate in the cold or overload when pulling heavy loads .... The government never learns and should subsidie the tax payers before giving a dime to a business. Sick of the little guy being trampled with debt and homelessness, and those elderly living off peanuts while the government and corporate thugs live a nice cushioned life.

A mere minor leftist set-back. Soon our leftist environmental whackos will pass laws making it illegal for these companies NOT to manufacture a certain percentage of their vehicles as E.V.s. Problem solved . . . except for the fact that -- because NO leftist comprehends economics -- the cost of producing unsalable E.V.s will get passed along to the sticker prices of all those internal combustion vehicles, effectively doubling their prices.

More government subsidies and a bailout or two will save the day. Spending more printed money will solve all our problems. Why do you make it so complicated?

I got corrupted in my youth when pre-WOKEism teachers actually MEANT IT when they exhorted us youngsters to practice thinking for ourselves.

It's a bad habit that I've never been able to shake; which is why I am looking forward to my eventual mandatory re-education camp venture once our leftists finish taking over our nation.

Being conscious is a heavy burden to bare. Looks like it might be illegal someday anyway.
5 ups, 6mo
Yep. That's how it's trending with both the left's leadership and their RINO political allies.

Think for yourself ≠ Think of only yourself

This is the mistake being made by the people of the Millennial and Gen Z generation(s)

Yes, but then again, they are the end products of many, many years worth of leftist ideological and political indoctrination throughout their years of schooling.

Public school system was established for the purpose of separating children from their parents and indoctrinating the children with government desired ideology in order to nullify their parents beliefs, morals, and values.

In that you are absolutely correct.

Precisely . . . initially it was pro-patriotism, pro-Constitution, pro-Ten Commandments and pro-classical education and then the Republican Party handed it over to radical nation-hating leftists in the interest of making more money for themselves and to no thinking person's surprise leftists gradually turned it into anti-USA, pro-bigotry, pro-racism, pro-White-Hating CRT, pro Socialism, pro-Marxism, and now pro-Fascism promoting . . . with any hint of a classical education having been meticulously removed. Same 'educational' mechanism controlled by polar opposite ideologies.

Even though the previous system turned out a nation of cannon fodder . . . I still prefer it to today's leftist insanity.

Preliminary documents i read somewhere years ago included language that the aim was to create "correct thinking citizens free from the influence if the individual's parents".

Yes, I am paraphrasing to the best of my recollection.

When I take a break from saving the planet, I will try to find and post the material I am referencing.

If it's not concealed in the dark recesses of a Google "closet" like a Christmas gift purchased in May.

That more or less agrees with my memory of the rationalization for it as well; which was tacked on to natterings about standardization..

Well, so are we.

Only the government was not nearly as corrupt when we were in school. Most of our teachers were not set on indoctrination.

I was only in public school for under two years. Both parents worked to keep mein private school. That is until I rebelled.

7 years in the VE A rmy helped straighten me out.
1 up, 6mo
Can't dispute that.

I spent 6 years private school, 5 years public and I still couldn't tell you if any of my teachers preferred pickles or donuts.

Thank you 😁

They should have perfected hybrids.

I drove one cross country and got 85mpg city and 65mpg highway.

It's opposite of gas vehicles because you're mostly running on battery in city driving is the way it was explained to me.

I have a few friends that have Priuuses, (most of my friends are as conservative as me).

I have always thought that is the way to go. I have ridden in one only once and was impressed with the performance.

Not for me though, I require a work truck.
1 up, 6mo
Exactly my thinking. Perfect hybrids and give me a big @$$ hybrid truck so i get better than 15 mpg.
😄
6 ups, 6mo
Certainly if they continue to do the bidding of leftist environmental whackos.

Never mind that the government has mandated that every vehicle sold from 2026 has to have a shutdown switch...
