The leak was at the gas connection, leaking 24/7. An oven fan wouldn't have helped. Not a very smart solution to fix the problem.

You need to get your nose or ears fixed... because anybody who knows gas stoves knows there's a hissing sound to a leak and a definite smell... learn to operate stuff properly and you'll be ok...

Sounds like it was not hooked up correctly. Using pipe sealer and soapy water would have detected that from the beginning. An improperly wired electric stove can short out & light you up too.

They do! I had a gas stove that leaked. Gas company was called and they verified it was leaking. That's when I switched to electric.

So fix the leak. Never an issue for me.

There is no such thing as a world without danger. Nothing in life worth having is without risk. In any event, whether intentionally or not, you are deflecting from the real reason for banning gas stoves. It isn't about safety. It is about controlling people in the name and fallacy of "saving the planet."
