Just the facts

Like most conflicts, there is no clear good guy/bad guy scenario in Ukraine. Putin's plan is to put together the old Empire, and he has clearly said so. Yes, the media is misleading us. Ukraine is not winning. The US needs to put its interests first. A negotiated peace is the only way out. The US should not support Ukraine indefinitely.

... You can't think of any reason why a guy putting an old empire back together might be a hands-down unambiguous bad guy? Even one reason?

Maybe before the invasion, Russia might have had 1/3 support in Ukraine, but oddly enough a lot of people changed their minds after Russia started occupying their homes and slaughtering them.

Fun fact... that invasion was triggered by Zelensky killing thousands in East Ukraine weeks before it happened...

he doesn't need proof, he needs an excuse to invade ukraine, the missiles and labs were all he needed. and I can't prove it, because the only people talking about it are either conservative or liberal news outlets, that either say they exist or they don't, no proof can be found because it's all polarized.

Well, that's a booger, isn't it. He needs an excuse to invade Ukraine and there's no possible way for him to prove that he didn't just straight up make up his excuse.

The treaty doesn't exist, by the way. It's another thing Putin made up. Ukraine has been free to join NATO this whole time, they just didn't want to until now.

I said he needs an excuse but not proof, also I couldn't find the treaty(maybe it does't exist), but how would you feel about missiles in cuba? besides putin is evil no doubt about that, but he is currently doing what any leader would do, when his country is at risk, although he is taking it a bit to far

I don't support a US invasion of Cuba either, no! In fact, that happened - it was called the Bay of Pigs and historians almost universally consider it to be one of the most humiliating military mistakes we've ever made. Putin could have done well to have paid attention in that history class.

There was only one nation that was ever so evil that they actually used a nuke in real warfare and we did it twice. Literally everybody else, EVERYBODY ELSE, has made the sensible decision and not used them.

so you are going to hold the action of using nukes to people who weren't even alive when it was dropped, even though the action to use the nuke would allow for the least loss of life possible, on a nation that could arguably did worse thing than Hitler...

This has literally never been true. There have been times when people who had never seen war thought that it would be fun to watch, but war has a way of clearing up the misconception pretty quickly.

The people who support the invading army don't. That should work to your advantage and the fact that you didn't even get that speaks volumes to how much the Ukrainians have completely turned off to Russia now.

I made a friend mad because I told him that if there is a good guy in that fight Putin was on it. After my buddy calmed down enough to ask why I felt that way I explained that Putin did not traffic children.

They say 10s of thousands of women and children are missing in Ukraine from towns that haven't even seen combat. Ukrainians are known for their good looks
