It doesn't take much for most of them to ultimately admit that they tick more boxes than not when it comes to authoritarian behavior, but the 'get out of jail free card' is that its not universally applied, just to people who aren't them....at this current moment.

Well stated. The libs seem to fail to realize that the authoritarianism that currently ignores them based on ideological similarities, can just as easily be applied to them, should a regime with a different ideology be in power. Yes, they're just that dim witted and short sighted.
