For me it's one of my chickens just during the day... they get separated from the rest of the flock (usually are too stupid to notice them leaving or get picked up and put down somewhere else), they'll just stand there and squawk concernedly. It's kind of funny, though.

is it a problem that i like cricket sounds? yeah, it does get annoying if you have to listen to it for hours, i fully agree with that but for a short while it's kinda nostalgic (for me at least)

That isn't a cricket, that is a grasshopper, We have that breed everywhere in my area. I was able to see some emerge out of the ground when we were still touring my current house. The name of the breed is know by "eastern luverne black grasshopper". 🤓
