Its regional thing.
Trash people create trash areas, leading to trashy situations.
The only difference is that in a civil society, people don't tolerate trash behavor, where as in parts of the west its actively encouraged.

I've been to several countries outside the US and the few McDonalds I went to were all clean and well run. In general, customer service is clearly superior in foreign countries when compared to how it is here in the US.

I know that's anecdotal, but for me, that, along with many other easily identifiable things that have clearly gone down the crapper here means that if someone doesn't think this country is in decline, they're not paying attention.

Yeah, nothing beats hitting McD's while traveling the world.

All the McD's I've been to are clean and with no commotion.

McDonalds in Japan pays its employees considerably better. Same with McDonalds in western Europe. Makes a difference.

Maybe you can get your shift manager to get you a transfer.
