I lived around Arthur Ave in the Bx when he was convicted. I missed it, but they had a "No Justice For John" march in the neighborhood. There was a block party later, and a couple of people I know were wearing "No Justice For John" baseball caps handed out to marchers earlier.

Days later, me and some of my friends were debating the issue, them saying he never did nothing wrong, like, ever.
