Yes, he apologized and I totally agree that he should not have, Bluessol. You cannot apologize enough to these woke dopes. No one owes an apology when they are telling the truth.

Besides that they aren’t about forgiving either though they expect to be forgiven. Apologizing provided zero benefit to him except dry up the support he had for speaking out.
