Site mods need to realize that certain users here have caused enough harms to other users to be permanently banned off the website definitively
Hell lets not say Ip bans, IP BLOCKS. Blocks hide nothing from anyone bro even the blocked person can still access who they are blocked by. Its like putting a curtain over you and someone nothing stops them from straight up pulling it away and seeing everything

If we do get IP Blocks, that means if anyone makes an account from that IP, we won't even see the account.

What we need is a better blocking system. If we block a user, we shouldn't see their comments period. They shouldn't even show up on our images(if they comment on them). And if this DOES get added, we should have a list(Simmilar to our following list) for who we've blocked, and the reason WHY we blocked them(Note by us so we don't forget). And if the reason no-longer applies, we can un-block them

add a reason why you blocked them? add a reason why the mods ban people too, so i don't get my mod taken because i unban a user i don't know

No, it can't be abused. And it'll be feared.
Because what IP ban would probably do is: Ban your account from posting, commenting, upvoting, downvoting and will prevent that IP specifically from making anymore accounts(This won't immediatly be indefinitally(perminate), but it can be for a certain amount of time)

IP bans are only so effective....I work on another site that has them and one problematic user keeps finding their way back every now and then......a saavy user could use an IP randomizer or a VPN to get back in

We also need smart IP bans. We can’t let them just download Proton and start grooming teenagers again

ban the device itself, they get a new one, that gets banned
