With so many functioning non-homeless vets, the question is this a significantly higher percentage of homelessness compared to the general public.
And if so, why?

I imagine the horrors of battle make for many mental and emotional issues, which can sadly culminate in drug use or domestic instability.

Most of them do. But not all vets have acquired job skills that translate into civilian careers.

So true. Have yet so see a Craigslist job posting for a civilian job installing ordnance on a fighter jet or firing 155mm howitzers.
