It pretty much doesn't matter at this point. Netflix pissed off the Egyptian nation for nothing since the movie stunk so badly that it pretty much sunk without a trace. Bad acting, bad directing, bad plotting; It never had a chance.

True, but this is still hardly the only case of race swapping (or sexuality swapping, or gender/gender identity swapping) to fit a woke narrative. It's not like there aren't any interesting black African historical figures to make movies about: Mansa Musa, Princess Yodit or King Menelik of Ethiopia, Shaka Zulu, etc.

The statement Egyptians are and weren’t black is moronic, it depends on what period you are talking about in Egyptian history. Old kingdom , new kingdom , Greek Egypt, Roman Egypt , Arab Egypt. There were most certainly black African Pharos and queens. The 25th dynasty is known as the Nubian dynasty with Pharos originating from Kush/now Sudan. Cleopatra was Greek and olive, Nefertiti was black and Egyptians are Arab now. So learn history it’s interesting.

I said they weren't ALL black, not that they weren't black period. I'm well aware of the Nubian dynasty, but Cleopatra was not part of that.

But here's the thing: Cleopatra and her family were of Greek descent.
