Well, yes, I see where you’re coming from but Trump’s style and influence is still in the relative minority despite it being spread to other politicians, mostly if not all Republican.
But policy wise, Republicans have only aimed in two courts. Anti-social process, and general opposition.
While Democrats, in general, have tackled a more diverse (pun intended) issues that are far more appealing.
We know whether or not policy is successful, meaningful, means relatively zilch and I think most moderates understand that most of the economic problems are either external in source (not political) and that Republican policy to be antithetical rather than beneficial in pulling us out of this recession. A recession that started under their policy. Made only slightly less worse during Democrat policy.
While also true, a lot of people appear to expect big changes in a short amount of time, both conservatives and liberals… though I’d argue the former shouldn’t…
The appealing nature of Trump is overall superficial.
What Republicans are trying to do, and I’d argue they’re failing very miserably, is trying to say that Trump’s unappealing nature is also superficial and it’s not.
While true, I do not want Biden in the Oval Office, I can say that there are few people I DO want there. So it’s going to come down on not how much more appealing someone is but how less unappealing they are.
And if it’s between Biden and Trump, a decision the people already made, I am perhaps too confident that they’ll stubbornly pick Biden again.
