Actually, I'm not a conservative and my political bias is only towards small govt and freedom. So anything I write should be interpreted from that perspective if you want to truly understand what I'm trying to say, instead of inferring meaning into what I write that is based on / clouded by your own opinions.
Yeah, I get it. That's not usually going to happen! But I figure if I let you know, at least you have the opportunity to do that, if you should want to.
"you claim that politics ru8n science"
Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you're trying to tell me with that... politics ruin science, maybe?
I'm not sure that's quite what I'm saying, although the two fields are quite opposite in the sense that the scientific method assumes (hell, requires) skepticism, and assumes ideas are not correct until proven to be correct. Also, science doesn't suppress information, as the left did when the covid pandemic was raging, ironically by saying that if you questioned them and their policies (mask mandates, vax mandates, etc.) that you were questioning the science, and that you can't question science. Well, bullshit to that. That's about as unscientific of a claim as you'll ever here, hence the irony.
Science can handle being wrong, and in fact is geared towards the assumption of being wrong, even well after the scientific community's consensus is that they're right. Always doubting, always skeptical. Whereas politics / politicians (and throw in religion while we're at it) is not at all comfortable with being told they're wrong, let alone thinking that they could e wrong. They suppress knowledge in order to maintain the status quo, which is usually a power-based tactic, meaning they use that to maintain whatever power they have over us. It's particularly insidious when the govt does it.
Sorry to ramble on! But as far as being right wing or conservative, like I said, no. I'm mostly conservative fiscally, quite liberal socially. I would be a Libertarian, except I'm not xenophobic (my wife was born in another country, if that matters) and they're pretty much a straight cluster fcuk when it comes to being a serious political party.
Okay, exiting soap box mode now...
