It is amazing that people who would otherwise call themselves "Patriotic," are threatened by the idea that other people might think we are all equal under the Constitution. The founders thought "All men are created equal." That was updated to "All people," so as to not leave women out of the mix. Why are extremists opposed to the concept of equal rights for all? When I work to guarantee the rights of all people, including racial and religious minorities and others, I support the rights of the majority, myself included. That is what we were taught patriotism was in the 1950s.
