I saw this and upvoted it the other day but just wanted to say that I totally agree with your message here, Joe. The confused left wants to tell us what pronouns to use, what we can & cannot say and how we should think. It has really gotten that bad. The more they try to censor and control me, the more I will fight against it.

There are some on the right who still get intimidated by the left's accusations of racism, homophobia, etc. They won't speak out because they don't want to be branded.

The left is the same way but they either don't know or won't admit it. With the possible exception of Bill Maher, if anyone the left thinks for themself they get branded or canceled. Even liberal stand up comedians can no longer go to colleges because the students get offended by (I'm guessing) humor. Just as Jerry Seinfeld and, belief me, he is not alone. There have been a whole lot of comedians (and most of them are liberals) who have been uninvited to perform. It is not the faculty who are uninviting those comedians, the faculty are the ones who invited them thinking the students might enjoy seeing some of the better comedians out there. They students protest to the faculty about how "insensitive" comedians are.

Roseanne Barr is not a Republican (and not very funny, at least to me). She made a joke about Valarie Jarret's looks and ABC threw her out of the window and renamed her show to The Conners.

Tim Allen didn't do anything. His "Last Man Standing" show was ABC's number 1 show but because Allen would make a joke about a Democrat or say something that Democrat oppose, without warning his show was cancelled. About a year and a half later Fox bought it and ran the series until, like all shows, viewership started to dwindle.

This is the world conservatives live in. I for one stopped being politically correct years ago. I do use the politically correct "Nuspeak". I don't refer to someone's spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend as that stupid incomplete sentence, "significant other". I don't call someone "mentally challenged" because that assumes that someone with Down's syndrome can overcome that challenge. And everything else that gets pushed out there and imposed by derogatory language and in some places imposed by law.

And you know how many liberals feel as well. Many things we say offend conservatives, and they often get upset (and sometimes worse)

I watched a documentary about the comedians being banned from colleges and I can't remember the name of it. I have been searching the internet for it but I can't find it there either. I think it was on Amazon Prime.

However, I did find this article printed by the University of California - Davis college newspaper. You are correct in that Seinfeld chooses not to perform at colleges. He was in the documentary I watched, along with Tim Allen and a few others. I think Chris Rock was also in it.

I also found a few articles trying to explain away the fact that the "woke" college students just have no sense of humor. If someone says something slightly offensive they fly off the wall in anger. That is not healthy behavior. The left has created a generation of mentally ill people who have absolutely no tolerance whatsoever for anything 1° out of skew with their narrow ideology.

This is the generation that will be and are running corporations and are entering into politics.

Here is what the left so completely misses the point on. Hate speech is protected by the first amendment. Freedom of speech is just that. You can say or think whatever you want. You don't have to like what someone says but you do not have the right to shut them up. You DO have the right to not listen to them. You have the right to not allow yourself to be offended by what they say.

Being offended is NOT protected anywhere in the Constitution. If someone offends you with anything, then it is NOT their fault that you are offended, it is yours. There will always be people who say or do things that are going to offend at least someone. Most of the time they have no clue that someone is being offended by them. Sometimes just the way a person looks offends someone and I'm not talking about race. Two people of the same race can look at each other and one of them gets offended because the other is ugly, fat, skinny, tall, short, dressed wrong or whatever.

The ONLY person who can stop someone from offending you is you. You have to grow some character to be able to not have your world shattered just because someone looked at you wrong.

This is what freedom looks like. Control freaks hate it but too bad.
