Perhaps this another strategy by the GOP establishment, backed by the D.C establishment, to force Trump out, they have been trying this for seven years.

There are two open questions here.

Did the GOP deliberately allow a lapse in standards in order that some losses would occur which they could use as a reason to force Trump out?

Did they lose despite trying and are now using this loss to force Trump out?"

It appears to me that it is exactly that. An attempt to discredit Trump and the Maga movement. Bitch McConnell would rather lose than have Maga win.

Well, there's the leadership in the GOP who cut off funding from people like Mastriano, Bolduc, Smiley, and Dixon, to give it to people like Joe O'Dea and Lisa Murkowski. That, plus those 4 AM ballot dumps that oh-so-coincidentally are just enough to put the Democrat over the top, if ya know what I mean.
