How cute, you used the Right-Wing conspiracy label for responsible journalism. The fact is the guy who filed the original "underwear," story for FOX NEWS retracted the story, after "other sources," told him it wasn't true. A retraction is an admission of lying. Try to think about the last time a news source in a major media market issued a retraction, San Francisco is the #5 market in America. It is so rare that I can't think of a case. The rule of thumb for responsible journalists is "two reliable sources" for information contained in a story. If an editor thinks they have important information the public has a compelling interest in knowing, they might put the story out without two sources. That story would carry a disclaimer saying that the story had not been properly confirmed.
As I was typing this response, a story ran in which the San Francisco PD reported that Paul Pelosi was sleeping in his bedroom when DePape broke into the house. They also said that Pelosi and DePape did not know each other prior to the attack. Jack Shields appears to be spreading a lie. When are you going to stop?
