Inflation Production Act, because spending during a period of record inflation is never a good idea, and demotards can't quite figure our that you can't tax your way out of a recession.

We're living in Orwellian times.

Yes we are. And the democratic politicians only seem interested in things that benefit them.

The politicians say 'we' can't afford a tax cut. Maybe we can't afford the politicians.

Yes maybe we need to be a little more careful about knowing politicians special interests too. Especially when they don't benefit and actually hurt the people they're supposed to represent.

That's a good way of putting it too.

Would you be suggesting a revolt?

The dems are revolting, why shouldn't we?

Yes I agree, and remember good always triumphs over evil.

Not always no, just in the end this time. See the strong and clever always win.

But can't revolting include calling government officials out when what they're putting out is wrong in normal business practices?

Not in the US. That's just free speech.

Yeah but you see the lengths democrats will go to, to censor anyone who is not on the same path they are.
I hate to admit it but I'm a perfect example, I don't check YouTube regularly but ever since I began speaking at my local city council meetings, for some reason I don't make it to the YouTube video. Although I'm not sure about during the pandemic either, but when other community members called me during that time to let me know when the city edits me out of the city's webpage video, I assume nothing has changed

That assumes the dems are in power and that they someone got rid of the Constitution. Personally I hope someone gets in there and starts arresting them like during the civil war.

Unfortunately I live in a city that has been "progressive" for decades.
Although after the rioting and looting in 2020, the community was able to get a three person changed slate on the council, which has made a little difference. Hopefully in the next election we can put a couple more people who are like that on the council.
Hmm...but arresting them might not be a bad idea either considering the way they skew the truth.
But I've been watching what's happening to the country since Joe Biden took office, and it's the same thing they've been doing here for years.

Lol, not I’m against an uprising, but I was referring to retirement. Stop earning money for those bums to take from me and give to someone else.

I'm not for violence either. Remember I lived through the rioting and looting here. And didn't you hear this inflation production act is going to tax retirement accounts too?

I don’t expect to be able to escape the madness completely, but I want to retire regardless. Maybe I won’t be able to, but if I can, I won’t have the current income level, so I won’t be handing over as much. Percentage wise, I’d probably be getting clobbered just the same. I still have some time before it is my turn, but I am likely unrealistically optimistic about my chances. I’ll make it work, lol :-)

It does sound like you have a plan. I do hope for your sake that conservatives take over in the midterms this year and in 2024, to make it easier on you. And that people remember for a long time what the democrats have turned into, and the point that they will decrease our quality of life for their special interests.
I wish nothing but the best for you. :)

I was concerned when Biden won.
It’s pretty much how I expected things to tank. I wish people would wake up before it gets worse, but I don’t know if that will happen. My concern for myself is healthcare costs. The house is paid for, and property tax is $2800 / year, and at 65 it will drop to about $700, at least here in Delaware. This state is mostly Democratic, but it’s cheap to live here. No sales tax either. I hope to be able to get by.
I will see how things go.
Thanks for your kindness :-)
