Leviticus 13 : 45-46

45 “Anyone with such a defiling disease must wear torn clothes, let their hair be unkempt,[a] cover the lower part of their face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ 46 As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.

Some "Christians" just preach whatever is convenient for their biases at any time without actually following through with what they preach and create a negative image for actual Christians that do good.

Leviticus is old testament. Supposedly Christians only follow the new testament unless it doesn't mention what they want to hate. Then it's back to Leviticus

mfs that follow the old testament when they have to have their entire family and priest killed for retribution to god because the goat they were sacrificing had 1 broken toe

Don't forget chapter 25:

44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

I was just looking into my own little Bible study where I was looking at all the times Jesus did things in the Bible that are considered sins in other parts of the Bible even though "Jesus never sinned" because it's VERY obvious if you're objective about it.

Example?

The most obvious example is the flipping tables and yelling, whipping, and chasing people out of the temple when they were selling things and gambling there.

Wrath is a sin. One of the big ones. If that's not wrath, I don't know what is.

Not saying the action isn't justified, but it's still against "God's rules". And it's something he definitely did.

How can wrath be a sin? Most Christians will say God cannot sin, but the Bible frequently talks about God’s wrath. If God can be wrathful then wrath cannot be a sin.

Oh no. A biblical contradiction. How rare and unique. /S

People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.

Weird. I looked for logic and couldn't see any.

I hear that. I was pissed off for an entire year when I first read the Bible because none of Jesus’ sermons contained a decent lasagne recipe.

Preach on, brother! God loves humanity like an abusive husband loves his spouse.

If creating us gives god the right to treat us any way he pleases, fine, we've already established his double-standards. I draw the line at being horrifically mistreated and then having it relabeled as "love". I mean, isn't that the kind of shit cults do? 😂

Yes, that is one interpretation: it is a sin if man does it but not if God does it. According to what I read on Wikipedia, Catholics believe wrath is a sin when anger is directed at an innocent person, when it is unduly strong, or when it desires excessive punishment. One could argue God’s “wrath” is not directed at the innocent and is proportional to the sin, therefore the wrath of God and the wrath of men are different concepts.

Yes, the whole "do as I say and not as I do" school of management. Probably for the best he didn't try to lead by example: god's a prick. But the dust doesn't fall far from the dirt bag, and we are supposedly created in his image. Little wonder we're such volatile, selfish, needy little pricks ourselves.

Mark 7:1-5, violation of hygiene rules: "The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus and
saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were "unclean," that is, unwashed.
(The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders.
When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles. [1] )
So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with `unclean' hands?""
Mark 2:23-24 and 3:3-5, violation of Sabbath rules.
