Malls are private property, so if you want to maintain permission to be there, you have to follow the private owners rules. If caught disobeying, you can be trespassed from the property.
If you're friends parents have stupid rules that you're unwilling to follow when you visit their house, you don't visit their house.
If a private business has policies you're unwilling to follow, you don't go on that businesses property.

They have the power to ask you to leave, and IF you don't leave, you are trespassing. What they DON'T have the power to do is hold you criminally responsible for not following their policy.

And the reason this is important is some people are claiming that the Indiana Hero was carrying a firearm illegally. It isn't illegal to not abide by some stupid mall policy, because malls don't make enforceable laws.

100% agree and to all those in the comments that don't agree, here's two scenarios.

A) A gun owner with a concealed carry permit walks into a mall that clearly is marked "Gun Free Zone" with nothing more than a sign on the door. He is absolutely legally carrying. Suddenly, a shooter starts randomly shooting people and the gun owner takes out the shooter after only three people are hit.

B) A gun owner with a concealed carry permit walks into a mall that clearly is marked "Gun Free Zone" with nothing more than a sign on the door. He sees the sign, turns around, returns his firearm to his vehicle, then enters the mall. Suddenly, a shooter starts randomly shooting people and kills dozens.

Which scenario would rather have yourself or your family in?

If you choose B then you're in favor of random murder from people with mental issues.

Anti-gunners believe that the that the MURDERER will see the "gun free zone" sign and leave. Because gosh-darn mass murder is one thing, but one does follow store policy.

Correct! In this case two "wrongs" (bringing a gun into a "gun free zone") makes a right.

And it's up to a mall and their policies to refuse to serve anyone, including an arrogant customer who thinks himself above anyone else or policies set forth by a business , and you dont have to shop there if you dont like said policies.

Arrogance is on the side of these business, because they have an assumption that putting a "gun free zone" sign is some kind of crime deterrent.

Over 90% of all mass shootings happen in "gun free zones".

Exactly.

Did you see the tags, btw?
