Prove that oil is a "fossil fuel". The only reason it was determined that this was the case is based on some similar carbon compounds, but the actual process has never been observed.
One thing is certain- so-called "renewables" are worse for the environment than the use of oil is. People who support the cessation of using oil are fools who have no idea just how many things they use, beyond fueling transportation and silly things like heat in the winter and a/c in the summer, require oil products and byproducts in their manufacture. Take a look around you, wherever you are- if anything you enjoy using and/or require to live out your daily life, is made of plastic, it ALL goes away without oil.

And the use of "fossil" fuels is one of the primary factors in lifting a society out of extreme poverty, so this call to limit or eliminate its use will result in the deaths of billions.
But there's too many people on the planet anyway, right? If you buy that, fine- let's start with liberals voluntarily exiting this life, for the good of the planet.
No, God created oil, and it would not surprise me if either He put enough oil in the ground, some of which is FAR TOO DEEP to have been the result of decaying fossils being the source, to last humanity until He brings this Age to an end, or there is a process in which it is constantly being renewed. God commanded mankind to "multiply, and fill the Earth", and while we are nowhere near to "filling" it, God knew that advancements would be necessary in order to support larger numbers of humans.
Does this mean that there aren't better, safer ways to handle these resources, or should we just burn without concern? Of course not. We are called to be good stewards of God's world, but we are not called to be stupid. "Green energy" is anything but green, and it cannot support life as we know it.
