Due process. Red flag laws strip you of your rights without due process.

You are considered guilty until you pay tens of thousands of dollars to prove your innocence.

Your legal property is confiscated, mishandled and improperly stored by idiots. There is video of expensive guns being inventoried and dumped into a rubber made trash can for transport.

After the ordeal rare guns are returned damaged and rusty.

Incidents of unique guns having been taken out and fired by people while in custody.

Bottom line. There need to be severe penalties for those that falsely red flag people.

What is "stable" is subjective. Many consider others "unstable" just for having differing political opinions.

Plus many of the situations that would cause someone to need a gun (a stalker abusive ex, for example) is likely to result in "mental conditions" such as depression and PTSD.
