When I went to grade school here in Chicago, nearly the entire side of the building and first floor classrooms had huge glass windows. One hard throw with a rock would shatter it. You have to have some sort of defense capability inside the school incase an individual gets past the out side ones. A pistol in a lock box that the teacher can access with a key would be perfect.
