That’s the way taxes work. In California, property taxes go to fund the public schools. You pay them regardless if you have children or not. There is no distinction. Where you live and who you live with has nothing to do with the massive tax incentives they are currently enjoy. Not to mention the freedom and autonomy they enjoy while reaping the benefits of this special privilege.

Yup, same here in florida. Look at the tax bill provided. Line 1 goes away. No other mechanism is in place to replace the tax. Not without a vote.
