You might think “free speech” is coming to Twitter. Maybe, maybe not. Musk is the only one who knows.

You might think “free speech” is coming to Twitter. Maybe, maybe not. Musk is the only one who knows. | Billionaires have far too much control over the media environment, and everything else in society, really. Musk is a weirdo billionaire who just bought Twitter from a different weirdo billionaire. How much will Twitter change as a result? Maybe a lot, maybe not much. I don't follow you, largely because you aren't worthy of the time, but could you help a fellow memer out? Can you point me to the meme you made when Bezos purchased the Washington Post?

Jeff Bezos purchased WaPo in 2013, way before I had an Imgflip account. Lol. For my general feelings on billionaires controlling the media, refer to meme text you skipped over.

Well, and probably before you were out of diapers . . . ;)

Adding this ;) to the end makes everything ok- do I have that right? ;)

This is what a coward does . . . but I accept your actions as your acknowledgement that I was right in my assessment of your hypocrisy.

LOL... they banned me from commenting there... cowards...

And yet prior to Musk buying Twitter the collective political Left seemed overjoyed that a leftist loyal billionaire -- happy to censor ONLY conservatives -- owned and controlled Twitter. So the outrage and hatred against the wealthy depends exclusively on the wealthy's political loyalties, eh? It's entirely situational.

Bezo buys Washington Post...liberal crickets.

Bezos is another impossibly rich business tycoon who’s directly responsible for this era’s maddening inequality. I don’t think his ownership of WaPo and lobbying efforts in Washington generally are anything other than malign.

Plenty of liberals agree with me, and that makes us the only ones with a principled view on this. But continue simping for Musk if you must. XD

LOL! "That makes us the only ones with a princiles view". My God how full of one self can one be!

You claimed I'm a hypocrite, I responded that Bezos, his WaPo ownership, and his predatory business practices can shove it. Anyone who thinks billionaires have the interests of average people at heart is kidding themselves.

"Plenty of liberals agree with me, and that makes us the only ones with a principled view on this."

As a liberal, you are wholly unqualified to properly assess this, but I have no doubt you believe this. Plenty of liberals, aka Democrats believed (still believe based on their actions) that black people were not truly human, and therefore could be owned as property. Since when does numerical strength equal being right? It's obvious that you are getting the essential core of this issue wrong.

You seem to think that rich people control how everyone thinks, and you wrongly lump Musk in with the rest. Bezos and other rich liberals intentionally work to shut down dissenting information, whereas Musk claims to want to open it up for everyone. Whether or not he will do this remains to be seen, and it would be foolhardy for Conservatives to place too much hope in him, but he appears to have enough honor that we can take him at his word.

Liberals think that the riots and burning of cities in the inner cities was someone else's fault than that of the people committing these crimes. Liberals continuously fail to understand basic human nature. Defund the police, while at the same time openly choosing to not prosecute many crimes? A crime spree ensues, and liberals stand aghast and confused as to what happened. It could not be more simple- if there are no consequences for breaking the law, then EVERYTHING is optional.

Plenty of liberals agreeing with each other is why crime is on the rise, inflation is out of control, food shortages are on the way- intentional or otherwise, and cities are falling apart. Congratulations on being part of the problem instead of the solution.

But hey, you moderate imgflip streams with THOUSANDS of followers, so you do you! What would the world do without you?

Perish the thought . . . ;)

Let me know the last you, or anyone else you know for that matter, was PUBLISHED IN THE WASHINGTON POST?

It is hilarious how you guys think social media is anything more than ADVERTISING.

Every news cast quotes twitter as a source. Washington Post quotes news casts. Get the connection?

"It is hilarious how you guys think social media is anything more than ADVERTISING."

But not as hilarious as you believing yourself to be wiser than anyone else here . . . you're not, but I will admit, that was some comedy gold right there! Thank you!!

btw- While the owners of Social Media are primarily in it for the advertising revenue, that does not exclude people from using it as the de facto public square of our time. And for those with a little tech-savvy, the ad blockers take care of the rest.
