It's scary because that book is becoming more relevant every day. And there's not much we can do. You can't reason with someone actively engaging in doublethink. And that's assuming you can get the actual facts past the ministry of truth (online "fact checkers").

Well, the mods here just stall for the most part. 12+ hrs for certain memes to feature, while others feature in seconds. I personally haven't had any issues with outright censorship. Just ridiculous delays so fewer people see it. I'm also not as active on here as i used to be though. And it's not just because of the mods, the community has changed.

Yes, but the mods bias towards liberals is so apparent.

I recently had a memechat with a moderator who, in essence, said that it's OK for a liberal user to use "the q word" as a derogatory term for those other than straight but that when I used "the h" word (the prefix in homosexual) then my comment gets pulled and I'm on a timer.
