And pretty sure you'd get fired even before all this Anita Hill/Sexual Harassment stuff.

Why? Because they are godless heathen, who are doing the bidding of their father, the devil. Whether knowingly, or unwittingly, they have sided with evil.

That's why.

And yet it's your god who killed countless babies in the Bible. And you're okay with that.

He's the one who mentioned god and being evil

Because nobody else will listen to it, unless they're forced to like the children.

constant need for reaffirmation that their perversion is normal and justified as if children's opinions matter.

When did that ever happen?

So a teacher who is gay is concerned that he won't be able to answer any questions students have about who is the other guy in the photographs he has. That sounds like a legitimate concern.

The funny thing is that there were so many people in the comment section of that article saying that they never ever ever ever ever had any teacher discuss anything at all related to their personal lives the entire time they were in public schools. I did, and it wasn't awkward or inappropriate at all. Yes I was in high school at the time, but some of the teachers at my high school were really cool and had a good rapport with the students.

Well, that explains why you are the way you are.

A teacher discussing their private life with students is not professional nor necessary, especially very young children.

"Well, that explains why you are the way you are"

Meaning what, exactly? You don't even know what aspects of their personal lives was discussed

"A teacher discussing their private life with students is not professional nor necessary, especially very young children"

And if it's something like "the other person in that picture is my partner", it's completely harmless. If a little kid saw a picture on a teacher's desk and the teacher was heterosexual and said "that's my husband/wife", you really expect me to believe conservatives would get upset about that?

I am sure you would be upset if a public school teacher was discussing how great it is that they have found Jesus as their savior to their students.

A teachers religion, sexual orientation, martial status, political views, or any other personal information is irrelevant and unnecessary to perform the job they were hired to do.

It is unprofessional for a teacher to be passing on their personal information or bias to students.

As most people pointed out, in the past teachers never discussed their personal lives or views in classrooms, as it should be.

"I am sure you would be upset if a public school teacher was discussing how great it is that they have found Jesus as their savior to their students."

Because that would clearly be a discussion about their religion, not whom they are married to

Not always

"As most people pointed out, in the past teachers never discussed their personal lives or views in classrooms, as it should be"

Just because something used to be common doesn't mean it was necessarily the right thing to do

So you think it is acceptable to talk about a teachers sexual orientation to children, the lefts religion, but not Jesus. (BTW neither is appropriate)

"Not always"

Always. Not relevant nor necessary to perform the job they were hired to do.

"Just because something used to be common doesn't mean it was necessarily the right thing to do"

Always was, still is. A teachers personal life is not part of the curriculum nor necessary for children to know about.
