It's like when people here were touting Florida as some sort of shining example for America pointing at their low new cases and deaths...... Completely ignoring the gigantic covid wave that had literally just happened there.
Covid comes in waves. It goes up, it peaks, and then crashes. Only difference now is that as a percentage of cases, the waves seem to be killing far less due to vaccination. To circle back, I would say that that also probably has a lot to do with it. Easy access to home tests also helps.
