"Imitation is the sincerest form of Television," Fred Allen (The most popular Radio Comedian at the dawn of TV popularity)
The MacGregor family crest says, "My name is royal." This refers to a time when we contested the throne of Scotland. Our clan was outlawed, and we could not collect fees, salaries or other "official," forms of income. The Cairds were working-class MacGregors who took any work they could find. The name Caird became synonymous with "Gypsy, Vagrant" or worse yet "Actor."
I would never pretend to be me. That would be crazy!
