Yep. I read a leftist generated article the other day in which the author actually said to his leadership and elites party members . . . there is now a massive flight from the Dem Party because you put the party into the hands and control of the radical fringe elements.

The truth is that by the time that a party's voters become aware enough of what is happening that they shake off the pervasive political propaganda it is too late for them to do much short of pretty much just crippling the entire organization.

Remember the Tea Party movement? Before Obama colluded with RINOS to destroy the movement, almost half of their activities were aimed at controlling or getting rid of Romney and McCain style RINOs. The Dem Party, on the other hand currently does NOT have an internal watch dog group dedicated to preserving the essential essence of -- what it once MEANT -- to be a Democrat. Instead it has got radical Leftists interested only in increasing the radicalism within the Party.

This is because the Democrats never had any foundation to fall back on. The right has always had the Constitution. When Republicans turn RINO the right pulls out the Constitution.

The left completely and utterly abandoned the constitution and only pull it out when they can use it to advance their cause. There is nothing for them to fall back on. There is no "what it once MEANT -- to be a Democrat." And if they fall back prior to LBJ then the Democrats become the KKK. If they fall back prior to Andrew Jackson then they become conservatives.

There is a great deal of truth in what you are saying. These are excellent points. As I look back on it, the Dem Party has always been the self-assigned 'interpreters' of the Constitution rather than its defenders. They have always tried to expand it in ways that its creators had no intention of happening. They want to expand it to the point that it no longer has got any meaning.

Yes it is. Countless better qualified people got shafted so that 'protected' minorities could be GUARANTEED their positions regardless of genuine accomplishments or merit.

Yes, and it did not need to be that way. Affirmative Action could have been a good thing.
