That's exactly right. That's also why they have turned that flag into a symbol of hate. It's all about pandering. If in several years from now blacks decided to make the Confederate battle flag their flag, Democrats will be flying that flag everywhere.
1 up, 3y
That’s exactly right. As Johnson said, he’s gunna be having blacks vote democrat for the next 200 years, and blacks worship the dems.

That was the official flag of democrats during the Civil War. As we can see many have not been able to give it up.

A campaign button is an official statement, but a person at a rally flying a flag is expressing a personal opinion.

If the candidate uses it and his constituents do also that is one thing.

If someone in a crow at a Biden rally flies one That cannot be connected to him because he has made no prior reference to it,

I rather like what a black friend said when he summed it up seeing one of our other neighbors getting b*tched at by a passerby for having a confederate flag on their pick-up. He told the passerby (and I am paraphrasing here because it's been a couple of years): "He's my friend, my neighbor. And he doesn't let his dog poop in my yard. So are you going to scoop up what your dog left in this black man's yard or you going to preach about his friend's flag?"

The rebel flag was hijacked. It use to be about Southern heritage. History and culture have been twisted for someone's political advantage.

I see you're trying to deflect by redirecting the conversation on your terms. See, I figured that since you didn't know me or have any previous affiliation with me, that you claimed I was dishonest (mind you, your statement was ambiguous to what I was dishonest about and to what degree) "Just like you" is an attempt a personal jab which bears the intent of eliciting an emotional response and is usually done when one is triggered. And now, again, comparing me to a monkey throwing shit. Whereas I haven't said a negative thing about you.

How telling 😎

Um, yeah. Because people today are still suffering from the effects that those people had. Some of those people who affected them through their racism and segregation (moving beyond slavery) are still alive today.

Slavery is alive and well today and the sellers are still the original sellers. Weird how you want people who haven't had anything to do with it, to pay, when the political party that utilizes the flag the most is getting a free pass. Most of the US people here today are descendants of people who arrived from other countries after slavery was dissolved here...hence, no affiliation with it other than similar skin tones. My family wasn't even here, except for a couple of Cherokees...who didn't own slaves.

"when the political party that utilizes the flag the most is getting a free pass."
You mean the Republican party?
"Slavery is alive and well today and the sellers are still the original sellers"
Yeah, not gonna address something that ambiguous.
"Most of the US people here today are descendants of people who arrived from other countries after slavery was dissolved here...hence, no affiliation with it other than similar skin tones."
So assuming that ancestry could be traced, and those held accountable, would you still be against reparations?

Going further, Tulsa only happened 100 years ago, PoC had been able to establish wealth and a dominant presence in the free market of that area.. The firebombings set them back to nearly nothing. There are some (however few) people alive today that were involved in that. The families of those victims are still trying to climb back up from that. Should they just be left to suffer as they have? Or what about families who were placed in poor neighborhoods as a result of segregation? Those neighborhood boundaries are still in existence because of economic boundaries. Segregation, such as it is, is now outlawed. But its effects are still evident.

Yes. And you can start by tracing the DNA to the original enslavers and make them pay. Not to the middle-man, or their descendants. You stop your search when the skin tone starts darkening. So you're not really interested in stopping slavery today, which is perpetuated by the same folks, and you really just want to punish lighter-skinned people to make yourself feel better.

You know, you could just sign up to do some interracial porn and let them stick it to ya if ya really want to feel like you're making a difference. Whatever floats your boat.

Segregation? Do you mean that evil thing that white people ended, but that woke democrats and black people are trying to revise? No, you can keep that racist bullshit. Democrats just can't help their racist tendencies, still trying to keep the black man down.

I don't owe any POCs a thing and those alive today that are related to those who were alive yesteryear have no responsibility for old actions any more than you for the sins of your ancestors if you must insist on diving into the past. Everyone's ancestors are members of groups that perpetrated atrocities over time. Your quest is one of virtue signaling, not actual justice.
1 up, 3y
The thing that starts with segregation. You ever heard Lyndon Johnson’s quote about having N-words voting democrat for the next 200 years?
2 ups, 3y
Lionel Ricthie did his heritage on"who do you think you are" He is half slave ancestry and half slaver. should he have to pay reparations?
Or what about me? Most of my ancestors came here yrs after slavery and were hated when they came.
I do however have some ancestry that was here b4 you all... Lenape native American.
should I boot all you guys from my country?

Yeah, not gonna address something that ambiguous."

I'll help you out. Democrats were the original slave owners, and killed other Americans in a Civil War in order to keep their fellow human beings enslaved. Y'all never did get over us taking away your slaves, and so it took additional laws to fight against your Jim Crow laws, and continued discrimination.

When all of that didn't work out for y'all, then you instituted the Welfare State, destroyed inner city schools, and ensured for decades that black folk would be enslaved to Big Government. Those policies continue on to today, but since many black people have grown tired of Democrat lies of future progress, they have left the Party in droves. So much so that Democrats have had to open the border to bring in a whole new crop of people to addict to Big Government handouts. We know that Democrats do not care about the illegal immigrants, aside from being able to manipulate them to vote to continue their handouts.

Still, even the Hispanic vote is turning against them, so election fraud has been perfected, and now Democrats are attempting to federalize elections, so they can essentially eliminate a vote that goes against them.

There, hope that helps you understand.

Do you see more Democrats owning original plantation land or Republicans? Does the money from that belong to Republicans or Democrats? Who's defending Gen. Lee statues? Who wants to preserve the confederate flag?
I'll wait.

" they have left the Party in droves." Which is why in 2016 and 2020 their numbers increased and won the popular vote by increasing margins?

"We know that Democrats do not care about the illegal immigrants, aside from being able to manipulate them to vote to continue their handouts." Even if it were true which it isn't. Certainly not with this Left of Extreme Right Winger (which could be moderate right, Light Right, Centrist, etc...) at least they care by a measured amount more than the right wing does.

Not all confederates had slaves and supported the cause of slavery. Lee had the confederate flag and he was a devout Christian and hated slavery.

Look here:
"I think it however a greater evil to the white man than to the black race, & while my feelings are strongly enlisted in behalf of the latter, my sympathies are more strong for the former. The blacks are immeasurably better off here than in Africa, morally, socially & physically. The painful discipline they are undergoing, is necessary for their instruction as a race, & I hope will prepare & lead them to better things. How long their subjugation may be necessary is known & ordered by a wise Merciful Providence. Their emancipation will sooner result from the mild & melting influence of Christianity, than the storms & tempests of fiery Controversy."

-General E Lee

He's saying in this letter that slavery is bad for whites good for blacks, and most important, better than abolitionism; emancipation must wait for divine intervention. The fact black people might not want to be slaves does not enter into the equation for him; their opinion on the subject of their own bondage is not even an afterthought to Lee.

White supremacy was his Modus Operandi. On top of that he sacrificed and killed countless Americans to keep slavery alive per the Cassus Belli of the Confederacy.
