Police can't shut down a riot when they're told not to. That's what happened. Riots don't occur when Police show up in force and are actually allowed to do their jobs. Didn't notice any out-of-control riots since many mayors decided to let police enforce the law over the last year.

When the overall population of a country riots at once, then your hypothetical bullshit might be relevant. Until then, using it makes you sound like the scrotum brain you are.

January 6 was a case of cops standing down and...again...not doing their job. They had numbers available but were not called because someone in leadership deemed it unnecessary, creating the problem where there wouldn't have been one had they acted on the intel available.

No one is justifying violence but pointing out your unending hypocrisy is always just a click away. Next time you go to the restroom...look down. That's the only massive joke your fingers are pointing to.

As if watching as the city burns isn't enough proof that officers weren't doing their job...something that comes from above. How many federal buildings have to be set on fire, police stations burned to the ground, city blocks taken over with permission of governors and mayors, do you have to see to believe? You're kidding right? The government literally has no jurisdiction over religion. They can't arrest you for religion at all. The only way they can aren't church people is if they have a law that applies to gathering in public that limits the number of people, but it has to be applied equally to rioters as well as churches. The only other option is to alter the constitution.

The government can arrest you for gathering against mandates. And rioters do not usually care about mandates or laws.

You kind of missed the plot there Skippy. I guess you got caught up in a group of people worshipping God and you clearly don't like that. It's not right that a lawful assembly (even one YOU don't like) should be suppressed while rioters are allowed to run...well run riot. I agree with you to a point. If a riot just spontaneously happens, then yes, the local police are not staffed or equipped to stop it.
However, some areas had a riot almost daily for months on end. Specialized units and the National Guard are there for just such occasions. Case in point on Jan 6th, they called out the National Guard to guard the capitol. But they never activated the Guard when cities across the country burned for months and months and months on end. And yet they used specialized units to clear out places like churches and barber shops. So going to a barbershop for a haircut or a church to worship must be stopped, but riots for months on end are just fine and okay?
