In other, other words, not all automatic and semiautomatic weapons are considered "assault weapons" by this exceptionally vague definition you quickly looked up online.

As to what the Colonials were carrying, they were carrying the exact same weapons that the premier military of the day was carrying. And who gets to decide whether or not a weapon must be semi/automatic? While liberalism, aka Satanism, was working diligently to take over all education systems back when I went to school, it hadn't yet totally taken over.
