I thought the same thing. Nearly everyone who carries a gun does so to protect themselves or others.

He's on video ad.inisfering first aid, on video cleaning graffiti off walls, on video running to put out fires...all corroborated by witnesses, in case you haven't been watching the trial. He's also on video getting shot at, running from the shots and returning fire on one who was attacking him with a skateboard, and the last one, who lived to tell his story in court yesterday got shot while he was pointing a pistol at Rittenhouse. He testified that he drew his gun first. So Rittenhouse literally waited until a gun was pointed at him, point blank, before he fired his weapon. The prosecutor buried his face in his hands. Sounds like you're the one who doesn't know what the f**k is going on. Even the newly released FBI video from above corroborated the entire defense.

Incidentally the 3rd person he shot was an EMT and was only there to assist should anyone get injured.

You know what he said yesterday, right? He testified that he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse point-blank before Rittenhouse shot him...after being chased by same.

Was only a clip of it, but what I saw yesterday was him saying he approached with gun in hand in full view with his arms up so all can see. This fits with what I read the night before and images showing exactly that.

He had taken his gun out - the 2A applies to him as well - and came running because initially he thought it was an active shooter.

It probably has a little bit of bearing on the rest of the case, but it wasn't a good day for the prosecution.

His hands were up as initially approached him but then he dropped his hand and pointed his weapon at Kyle.

Well, technically, a kid (Kyle) shot an adult who was pointing a gun at him after chasing him down. All the witnesses so far have corroborated that Kyle was running from the situation. That clip was cringe but the trial is A shit show for the prosecution. They overcharged and are really struggling to prove their case. The new FBI drone footage definitely hurt their chances of getting their murder charges to stick.
