About 7,000 Americans died in Afghanistan. Yes, it is terrible, but the other close to 200,000 that died is not necessarily attributable to the American war there. These were the numbers of people that were dying there beforehand and which likely will continue to die there afterwards. The American war in Afghanistan did nothing more than cause the death of 7,000+ Americans for basically nothing. That’s it. And that is good reason for everyone to be pissed. You’d have to have a religious attachment to the news reported in the United States to think we accomplished anything. Or that we were fighting for something. It was a war about nothing. It should be the TV sitcom of wars. Either you are going to have a war like in Japan and Germany in WWII or you’re going to half ass it, make a lot of people die and just pretend you’re fighting for something and accomplishing things so it can be reported in the news. Because that’s all Afghanistan was. A 20 year news story about nothing.

You’re right. Sorry, 7,000 is the total for Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m not an encyclopedia. But it makes my point all the more real. Even less people died there because it was a fake war for the media.

And, yes, I think it makes the American deaths there worse.

They wanna kill each other? Good, better for everyone on the planet including their own fellow citizens.
Sometimes you have to respect other people's wishes and allow them to wipe out the disease infestation even if - nay - ESPECIALLY if it's themselves.

All we've done is postpone the inevitable for two decades.
