You lack vision. Cars all ready can be shut down remotely. It is called “starter interrupter” technology that, combined with GPS tracking, allows a dealer (or the government) to remotely track the location and disable a car. Not a far leap to imaging the IRA, EPA or other governmental power using the technology to track and ration vehicle usage.

Again, you're massively overcomplicating this: the exact same effect can be achieved by gasoline being something that your car needs to run that you pay for.

You're making no sense. A vehicle shut off remotely has NOTHING to do with gasoline.

The OP makes no sense. If the government wanted your car to shut off after you consume your share of gasoline, they don't need to do it remotely: they just have to wait for your tank to run out of gas! You're being worse than the government for overcomplicating a simple thing.
