I made California red because I grew up and lived most of my life there. It can be a great state again if the left would all leave. Then my wife and I could move back. Make California Great Again.

You mean when California was still developing and at least in the early 80s got $1.25 for every $1.00 paid in Federal taxes while NY got back 75c?

California has since become the 5th largest economy in the world, and like NY, it now pays more than it gets back so that the Welfare/Red States won't starve like they used to before that pussbag FDR used social welfare to change them from Third World ghost towns into modern havens.

California is a drop on the ocean compared to what it was in the 80's. It is far from being a powerhouse of anything. They cannot even figure out how to supply enough water to the cities and the farmlands. They can't produce enough electricity for the state. Businesses are leaving in droves. Even Elon Musk, after Newsom begged him to stay, is packing up and moving to Texas.

All of the western states are filling up with California ex-pats. Being one myself, I notice California license plates and they are everywhere. I live in Utah and see then everywhere. I've been to Arizona 3 times in the last year and they are everywhere there also. This last time I we also went to New Mexico and there are California plates everywhere also. Although my sister-in-law (who we were visiting in Albuquerque sees a lot more Texas plates. When the bulk of California ex-pats are moving to Texas I don't know why my sister-in-law thinks that Texans are invading New Mexico. We did see a few Texas plates when we were there.

However, there has always been a lot of California plates in Utah. The two biggest population of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Utah and the LA Metro. Because of that there has always been a lot of migration back and forth on the 15. There is just a lot more now.

If California keeps voting in idiots like Newsom and Brown, California will become a crap hole like Venezuela. San Francisco and LA pretty much already are. The Democrats have exponentially increased the homeless population in California.

They don't issue you new license plates the moment you cross the border. You have to register your vehicle and wait about 2 weeks to get your new plates.

Some people put off registering their vehicles until their tags are a about to expire.

There is no way of telling the difference but a certain percentage will always be visitors and a certain percentage will be transplant. So in talking to people in church and around, about 60% of the people I talk to were once California residents.

None of them say they want to go back (except my wife, she missed the weather and the ocean). All the ex-pats that I've met hate what has happened to California.
