They can’t carry banned guns. The police can carry full capacity magazines and purchase guns regular citizens cannot though. We citizens are limited to 10 round mags and the guns have to be on the approved list of California. Essentially it’s harder for us to get newer designs because the manufacturers won’t submit new designs.
That aside if they are mandating no gas chainsaws they won’t have them for the forest service either. They will buy them gas generators to run the electric one. Bwahahahahaha.
