Besides, she's not pretending to be profound. While I obviously can't (and won't) speak for her, I think it's fair to say that she's just pointing out the obvious and speaking in common sense terms.

eyyyy there are two bad implications from this one quote. ahahahaha

firstly, it implies that black people who aren't her aren't able to think for themselves. where i'm from, we call that "condescending." i saw a clip from the colbert report in which stephen colbert asked some black voters why they wouldn't vote for kamala harris. one of them said "people that look like me are locked up because of her." the best part about that is that candace owens had no influence on that statement, or most of the panels' picks on who to vote for. rich white democrats would happily vote for harris to gain brownie points with minorities in general. while candace seems in opposition to that sentiment, she also gains from being black herself also for more brownie points amongst people who look at her on the surface and not at what she represents (which is the oil industry and big pharma).

the other implication? her skin tone of all things. what a lovely reminder that she is black, and she would be worth nothing if there were a smaller concentration of melanin in her skin cells.

this does make a blanket implication that every liberal that hates candace owens is racist. while that may be the case for a tiny amount of people, is it really only motivated by race to hate candace owens? that's like saying people only hate obama or harris because racism. you could say that liberals hate a black woman being conservative, but that still means that if she was white, she'd be worthless. just another way candace needs idpol to be worth anything.
