Ah yes because Oil Changes are contagious.
2 ups, 3y
They are - I once saw my friend pull in the driveway, we exchanged pleasantries - he told me he got an like change. That reminded me - my oil needed changed, then I got my oil changed. While at the mechanic, I made small talk with someone - mentioned my oil change and then HE got an oil change too.

The logic or lack thereof still applies

Exactly - they can't process logic because they have been taught skewed logic by anti-American educators their entire lives.

in what god-given world does this meme make any sense?

In the same world where people demand that you get vaccinated to protect them against you when they are vaccinated.

They want you to vaccinate - so they will be protected even though their protection isn't working for them. "My protection I got isn't enough to be protected - so you need to get it too so you will also not be protected"

comparing it to oil changes feels like a stretch.
0 ups, 3y
I'm not comparing the actions - I'm comparing the logic. The logic is the same.
2 ups, 3y
Also - it should make perfect sense to liberals.

Neither is a vaccine mandate for a vaccine that doesn't protect you. If the vaccine protected people from spreading it or getting it - they wouldn't kick women off the stage live who were fully vaccinated.

No vaccine is 100% effective. Not. One. Don't get mad because you didn't pay attention in high school biology. That's your fault, no one else's.

All of those diseases aren't really a thing anymore are they? Why? Effective vaccines.

Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, rubella, HPV, Shingles, rotavirus, tetanus, pneumococcal disease, cow pox, whooping cough, diphtheria, hepatitis A and B, and polio would all like to have a conversation with you.

Wait - due to vaccines, they can't and never will.

yeah. You REALLY need to spend some time thinking. Because you just self-owned.

Mumps vaccine has an 88% effective rate. 88%.

But why has it been wiped out in the States?

BECAUSE EVERYONE GETS THE VACCINE.

When we all have this amazingly high 88% resistance to being infected, the rare few who do have a breakthrough infection can't spread it.

Now imagine what would happen if we all had the covid vaccine.

It's almost like you just pointed out all these historical examples of how it would work.

And no - I didn't self own, I owned you.

Yes, you did. YOu pointed out that when everyone gets vaccinated, even with a vaccine that is less effective, the disease is wiped out.

You. Pointed. That. Out.
1 up, 3y
No, I pointed when everyone gets vaccinated with EFFECTIVE vaccines that happens.

Lmao - you're literally proving my point here. All of those vaccines have stopped those diseases. Because the vaccines are effective.

If covid vaccines were effective people vaccinated wouldn't be catching it too. It's almost like you just pointed out why those vaccines are effective and why the COVID vaccines aren't.

80% effective means that if exposed you have an 80% less chance of contracting the disease.

If EVERYONE has the vaccine, then it's really really hard to have breakthrough cases because it gets stopped so very quickly.

The covid vaccines are highly effective. Higher than the mumps one.

If we had the same levels of vaccination for covid, we'd have the same results that we do with mumps. And polio.

Just because you don't understand how it works, doesn't make it less of a fact.
1 up, 3y
I think you don't understand how it works.... People got vaccinated from proper vaccines and the diseases went out of circulation.

You don't see 12% of vaccinated people still getting mumps now do you? No - because that vaccine works. 3 percent of new cases of COVID are fully vaccinated folks. 1507 fully vaccinated have died from Covid in the United States.

Why? Efficacy of the vaccines. When mumps vaccine was released - 12 percent of the recipients didn't still get the Mumps.
