Last year, France recalled their ambassador to Turkey after Erdogan said Macron needed mental health treatment and in 2019, they recalled their ambassador to Italy after their leaders publically criticized the French government.

Filling stadiums with adoring fans has never been the hallmark of determining political competency nor ethics, though it has always been a reflection of what's currently popular in pop culture. Kanye West fills stadiums too and there were people out there that actually voted for him in the 2020 election as well. That's not saying a whole lot about the education of American voters.
