Be careful who you call an "anti-vaxxer", many black and indigenous people are hesitant to get the vaccine

Be careful who you call an "anti-vaxxer", many black and indigenous people are hesitant to get the vaccine | Stupid right-wing Trump supporters, they're gonna kill themselves from not taking the vaccine. Many black and indigenous people are hesitant towards the vaccines and the reason why they are hesitant is because in the past, BIPOC were used as human guinea pigs in vaccine trials and died of the harmful effects like a horrific eugenics experiment. | image tagged in memes, the rock driving, vaccines, racism | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Here's an article on the racist history of vaccine trials: https://healthydebate.ca/2020/12/topic/vaccine-messaging-race-experiments/

Boston Mayor Kim Janey opposes vaccine passports, she pointed out that it would disproportionality affect people in ethnic minority communities and she even likened such a system to birtherism and slavery-era "freedom papers" and she's not a pro-Trump Republican, she's a Democrat and the first black woman to be elected Mayor of Boston, she even condemned Trump for for demanding to see Obama's birth certificate: https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/04/politics/boston-mayor-covid-19-vaccine-documents/index.html

Clearly it is mostly white people taking the vaccine so this argument doesn't make sense.

We had a recent president who said "the blacks" and it wasn't Biden. It was Trump.

Did you see the part of the chart that said not really, no?

Your unsourced chart that doesn't even say what it's a chart about?

A non-binding survey isn't going to take a snapshot of what they DID do, is it?"

Everything you say is so steeped in hypocrisy it looks like a parody.

I'll just take your word for it despite the fact that nowhere on it does it say anything about hesitancy or virtually anything else. No mention whatsoever of what study it was part of. Absolutely no context whatever. But yeah, we'll believe you that it proves what we're saying is wrong.

If you read the words that's written on the chart in English, which I assume you can read, it shows that the White demographic made up 50% of the vaccinations despite being 61% of the US population. That is vaccine hesitancy.

In contrast, the other ethnicities you mention in your OP are actually MORE likely to have been taking the vaccine than you would expect from their demographic proportion. That is the exact opposite of vaccine hesitancy.

Here, have an actual chart showing the subject matter we're talking about. Complete with sources. Feel free to ignore it like you do anything else that goes against what you believe.

"African Americans are getting the shot at a faster rate than white people."

Which is why despite PSAs specifically targetting them - down to using Jamaicans who say "My black people" every other sentence - they lag behind everyone else in getting vaccinated in NYC?
2 ups, 4y
No, it doesn't, as seen with the one with no source y'all keep posting despite getting corrected on it.

Ah, the good old "ignore any evidence that doesn't support my opinion" defense. Clear evidence says you're wrong but nah that's impossible. You're too smart, all these professionals doing studies MUST be wrong.

.... is it news to you that some evidence is going to be more directly relevant to a discussion than others?

So going to completely ignore the fact that this disproportionately affects african americans even after seeing the evidence, eh? Good to know all your talk of social justice is nothing more than virtue signaling, because when push came to shove you were completely fine with f**king them over completely

African Americans are getting the shot at a faster rate than white people. See the chart that I posted. Covid hit black communities harder than white communities and they're all too glad to see the vaccine available.
