I feel your pain, I had a cat named gracie. She was really old and sick. One day I came home from riding my bike. And got a call from my mom, and she told me that she had passed away. My depression kicked in for the next 4 days from that moment, but today, I'm glad she is not suffering anymore. I hope you get to feeling better. RIP Hazel.

How did it die

No idea. She was fine that morning and then I went in there and she was gone. And she was too young to die of old age so it’s a mystery

They do that sometimes, it's natural for them to hide when they're sick so predators don't get them in the wild. They just suddenly die.

I've had chickens for a while now, it could have died of heat or a spider biting it or something
