It would be nice if when I delete a comment or disapproved an image, an anonymous chat could be opened by the person. Or if an anonymous chat could be opened off of a comment flag, because that would be extremely useful

As a mod of at least one stream, I agree with this statement

If you feel a sitewide moderator made the wrong call, get in touch with another sitewide moderator. We will examine the moderation logs, make a determination on whether the action was justified or not, and if it is determined the wrong call was made, we will do what we can to remedy the situation within reason. Same goes for user created streams, get in contact with a stream moderator and they should be able to make a determination at their level.

It would be better to have an appeal review board that was made up of various site members who aren’t mods. The moderator loyalty to each other, like cops, can be abused. Appeals are generally better when performed by not the very people whose decisions are being appealed or discussed.

[image deleted] here's the meme i posted. the notification said 'your meme was unfeatured for containing harrassment' and 'implying a group of people's lives don't matter'. that certainly wasn't the intent of the meme (i have been urging anti-vaxxers to get vaccinated for months on this site), and i think the Mod's interpretation was extreme. i can't see how the actual content is harrassment.

You might be able to make that fly by labeling the Mom as an unreasonable person or from some kind of political group. And you might want to add context to the title. I can see this meme getting through, honestly with just a few tweaks.

Not that I'm a mod, but honestly, I've seen worse.

You could try to find an image with say... Nancy Pelosi to get your point across... like so...

I can see your intent with the meme, but I can see where they're coming from also in terms of looking at it in the most superficial way, as sublety, nuance, irony, and even the slightest wry bit of humor can to be eclipsed by the aspect of the portrayal of the lives of one demographic deemed at what at first glance may seem to be of less value (when of course that's not the case).

Add to that certain sensitivities shared by a major chunk of memers on this site, and the chorus crying "foul" can be a loud one. Since lately HQ has taken to telling them lot to reel in what used to be commonly accepted here, that major contigent of aggressors now get to cry how things are unfair to them as well.
